Mr. Wolff is a 1971 cum laude graduate of Ohio University
with a BA degree in Government. He received his law degree in 1975
from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member
of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, and the Richland
County Bar Association.
Mr. Wolff currently serves as a Managing Partner of
the firm. His practice is devoted to real estate, banking and corporate
matters, with particular emphasis on commercial real estate. His real
estate practice includes representation of lenders and developers in
all types of projects, including shopping centers, lifestyle centers,
hotels, office buildings, apartments, condominiums, golf courses and
residential developments. His responsibilities typically include handling
land acquisitions, construction and permanent financing, title review,
document preparation and review, legal opinions, environmental issues,
and leasing matters. Mr. Wolff frequently acts as local counsel for
lenders and borrowers in connection with multi-state secured lending
transactions. His banking practice includes serving as bank counsel
in connection with secured and unsecured lending transactions. His corporate practice includes
the representation of business clients in the areas of formation, compliance,
contracts, real estate, and financing.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Wolff is the firm’s member representative in the South Carolina Bankers Association, Central Carolina Realtors Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also an active member of the Columbia community and has served on the Board of Directors for Communities in Schools of the Midlands, Richland County Public Library Trust, Carolina Care Plan, and the Board of Advisors for the A. C. Flora High School Foundation. He also received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Communities in Schools of the Midlands for the year 2000.
Mr. Wolff authored the South Carolina chapter of the “State-by-State
Guide to Commercial Real Estate Leases,” published in 2004 by
Aspen Publishers (and updated in 2006 and 2008).
